Catherine Stoddart
Chief Executive Officer, Brightwater Care Group Association
Catherine Stoddart was appointed chief executive officer of Brightwater Care Group in March 2022. Prior to that, she was the deputy director general at the Department of Communities in WA and chief executive officer for Northern Territory Health.
With extensive leadership experience in complex health and care organisations including as chief nurse and deputy chief executive officer of Oxford University Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust. Within Western Australia she has been the chief nurse for WA. She has held and several executive and board director roles such as OUH Foundation Trust and Menzies Health Research Centre.
Ms Stoddart was awarded the 2011 Telstra Western Australia Business Woman of the Year for strategies that she put in place to build stronger nursing career paths, as well as the development of Aboriginal employment programmes across the Department of Health.
In September 2013, she received the Australian Public Service Medal in recognition of her contribution to health and innovative global community health volunteering programmes.
